Busy weekend

This weekend we managed to cram in a lot of events and gatherings plus some fun times for mom and dad. We hit up 2 BBQs, an engagement party for Ryan's cousin, hike to Dillon Falls, Glowing Balloon event, and a bike ride to the Old Mill (our date) to listen to the Sunday Concert. The kids are great at going with the flow and making the most of it all. Thankfully!

Pacific City: Round 2

We ventured to the coast again for a rainy weekend with Riley and Leslie. The Dory Day Festival was going on, which meant a parade with lots of candy and a fish fry. We went clamming one day, checked out the tide pools and went for a bike ride. Long drive over with a screaming baby, but well worth it.

Kate + Scott

Last weekend, Kate and Scott got married in Nevada City, California. It was a beautiful day, in a gorgeous spot, celebrating an amazing couple! Aunt Shari (aka the wedding planner) did a fantastic job incorporating mementos of Kate and Scott's life together, important family members that have passed, and all their family and friends. Addie had an important role of being the flower girl and she took her job very seriously. She made sure that every flower petal was emptied from her basket by dumping them all out at the end of the aisle! She sat with us during the ceremony, but half way through she noticed cousin Cole standing up front and announced it to everyone....."There's Cole!" Everything about the day was perfect! We loved reconnecting with family and friends that we hadn't seen in a really long time. We wish the happy couple a lifetime of love and happiness!!

This year we decided to stay local for the 4th for several reasons, but mostly to check out the famous Bend Pet Parade. On the morning of the 4th, no joke over 5,000 people and their pets gathered to parade the streets of downtown Bend. There were dogs of all sizes and colors, horses, snakes, lizards, and even stuffed animals. Addie wanted to participate in the parade, so we decorated her wagon and brought Callie along. The best part for her was the popsicle at the end of it all!

Another highlight for us, was our trip to Shelvin Pond with our friends Tyler, Michelle, and Camryn. We liked to call it "Toddler Fishing", but we actually caught a few "big" fish. The girls loved getting the fish into the Barbie net! I have to say that I caught the biggest fish on my first cast (but I don't have a picture to prove it)!

A few BBQs, a neighborhood block party, swimming, and a pony ride later and the weekend was over. At the end of it all, Addie started to enjoy the sparklers and face painting!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
