Central Oregon Pumpkin Patch

A few pictures from our second trip to the best pumpkin patch ever! This time the weather didn't cooperate with us- it dumped rain the whole time. However, that didn't stop Addie from riding the horses and the train, visiting the petting zoo, stomping in the puddles, and picking out pumpkins!

Sisters Halloween Parade

On Friday, we participated in the Sisters Halloween Parade with about 500 other kids and their parents. The parade started in the park downtown and continued down the main streets in Sisters. All the business owners were standing outside of their store with lots and lots of candy for all the children. Addie was so excited to dress up as a cowgirl and rope some cows! Ryan told her to look for some cows to rope, so that is what she did during the entire parade- real cows of course! She very quickly caught on to saying "trick or treat" to get "more candy." All of the children looked so cute in their costumes.

It's official...

Addie is going to be a big sister and IT IS A BOY!! We just had our 20 week ultrasound and confirmed the gender of the baby. The due date is March 7th. We are so excited to meet him!

Grandma C

My mom drove back to Sisters with Addie and me on Sunday. On Monday, we tried to cram in as many things as possible. We took a beautiful walk in the morning to visit the alpacas then strolled around the cute shops in Sisters. After Addie's nap we took Grandma C to Black Butte ranch to chase the geese and marvel at the beautiful view of the Sisters (part of the Cascade Mountain Range) and our final stop was at the Metolius River in Camp Sherman. We were happy to show her around our new stomping ground, but as always the visit was way too short.

Puzzles and Horses

Addie's life isn't complete with out puzzles and horses! She loves everything to do about both of these things. She would ride on a pony/horse/donkey every day if possible and when she isn't riding, she prefers to be doing puzzles. She amazes us with her lack of fear when riding horses and her ability to hold on with one hand while waving with the other. As for the puzzles, she has mastered the 12 piece jigsaw puzzles and upgraded to the 24 piece jigsaw puzzles. She can put together a large floor puzzle with 46 pieces (with some help from us)! All of these puzzles are geared for 3 yrs and up, so we have to wonder what she will be mastering when she is actually three.

Apple Hill

Last weekend we ventured to Apple Hill in Camino, California. Being that Addie and I had never been there before, I didn't know what to expect. One thing is for sure...Apple Hill is a very popular place during this time of year. There were thousands of people everywhere! The name Apple Hill says it all...there were apple orchards scattered around a hill. We stopped at a few different orchards to find everything apple and delicious- apple cider, apple fritters, apple doughnuts, apple milkshakes, apple pie, apple butter, and of course apples! Kids entertained themselves with the fishing pond stocked with trout, pony rides, train rides, petting zoo, and rides. We ate a delicious meal at the next orchard and picked a few bags of apples- thanks to Addie for all her help with this. At home, we baked an apple crisp and made applesauce. All the reasons why I love the fall!!

Ferrari Farms Pumpkin Patch

My parents and I took Addie to the Ferrari Farms Pumpkin Patch yesterday. There were hay rides, farm animals, pumpkin picking off the vine, pumpkin smashing, and bounce houses. Addie loved everything about the pumpkin patch, but was disappointed that she couldn't ride a pony!
