new tricks

Here are the latest and the greatest of the kids doings.

Cadenisms:
Pointing, throwing everything in sight, pretending to talk on the phone, running, playing hide and seek, eating only non-eatable items, throwing tantrums, and pulling Callie's tail. Caden is trying to say "hot" and "phone" and is starting to really understand what we are talking about.

Addieisms:
Addie's art work continues to impress us as well as her math skills at school. She counts beyond 30 as well as by tens. She is doing addition and subtraction at school. She even told me that she is learning to read! Addie is actually skiing now too, not in between Ryan's legs, just flying down the hill! She knows how to do pizza to stop and how to make some turns. Her favorite things about skiing are going fast, the ski lift ride, and jumping in the trees with Daddy!

ONE YEAR OLD

Happy Birthday to my little man, Caden Ryan McHugh! You have brought endless joy and happiness to our lives this past year and we are so excited for all the years to come!



My parents came up to help Caden celebrate his birthday. They brought him a fire truck pedal car that is pretty styling! We gave him a toy vacuum because he is in love with vacuums.





He throughly enjoyed his cupcake, but decided to step on the frosting. He looked so cute in his little tie.





Addie wanted to make him a monkey cake because his nickname is "Chunka Monka!" Let's just say, I am not going to go into the cake decorating business EVER, but it tasted good!

11 months

This last month was a big one for Caden....he learned to walk!! At about 10.5 months he took his first step and every day he would take more and more steps until he was just walking everywhere all the time! He enjoys kicking a ball around the house, dancing, clapping, swinging, and throwing balls (and food off his high chair tray). He is fascinated with keyboards and iphones. He has figured out how to send voice texts with photos to people. He says a few things (mama and hi). Loves walking to the park and playing with Callie (pulling on her tail). It is hard to believe that he will be ONE in a matter of days! He is a cute chunka monka!!

Beauty Shop

Addie's newest passion is "beauty shop" aka Addie's make-over. She has a basket of beauty supplies that she would take everywhere with her if allowed. Anytime some one comes to our house she ropes them in to being a beauty shop client. Her beauty shop entails: lotion, hair brushing, hair clips, bracelets, rings, lipstick (4 kinds), and a photo. She takes a before and after photo of all her clients!! Here are some of the funniest (remember she is taking these photos with her camera).

I have to add that Ryan is such a good sport. He goes along with it and let's her do her magic on him! Best Daddy ever!
