First
Caden had his first haircut this week from my friend, Lana. She brought over some donuts for the kids, which was also Caden's first taste of that yummy treat. He literally shoved the donut in his face and sat totally still while Lana cut his hair!

Ice Around
As Addie likes to call it, ice around, we went ice skating! This was a first for the kids and Addie seemed like a natural! She started off holding on to Ryan and before long she was skating in front of him!
It was a beautiful day at the Seventh Mountain Resort and we enjoyed the company of our friends who joined us. Caden didn't wear skates, but managed to make his way on to the ice to ice around!

Two- twenty two
That's right, Caden turned TWO on the 22nd of February! It is hard to believe that my little guy is already a two year old. We celebrated his birthday with the grandparents (minus grandpa bill who couldn't make it up to Bend). Caden was very excited to open his presents and kept asking for more. Cake was a hit for all, especially Caden! He was so cute during the happy birthday song. He was being shy, but loving the attention.
Winterfest, an awesome winter festival that comes through Bend, was going on. We caught the Big Air Show on Friday night and toured through the snow and ice sculptures. The kids were taking it all in. Saturday, we went back for the bounce houses, pony rides, and kids museum exhibit. Great weekend all around!
Caden, you bring so much joy and laughter to our every day! You are such a sweet, funny and adorable little guy. We love you so much!

Cole + Chelsea
Better late than never....my cousin, Cole, got married on December 29, 2012 in Reno and Addie was the flower girl! The ceremony was held at the historic First United Methodist Church in downtown Reno. The evening was magical!
Addie was so excited for her role as the flower girl. She knows the flower girl drill because this was her third time being one. Ava and Addie looked beautiful in their matching dresses and much to our surprise, stood at the altar throughout the entire ceremony!
Addie and Ava were in awe of Chelsea and her beautiful bridal gown and veil! Chelsea looked absolutely stunning! The love between Cole and Chelsea filled the church and brought tears to my eyes! We are grateful to be a part of their special day! We are so happy for them and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
Congratulations, Cole and Chelsea! We love you!

I saw this poem and was rolling with laughter! This is so true and should be read by all moms!
If You Give A Mom A Muffin
by Beth Brubaker
If you give a mom a muffin,
she’ll want a cup of coffee to go with it.
She’ll pour herself some.
Her three year-old will come and spill the coffee.
Mom will wipe it up.
Wiping the floor, she will find dirty socks.
She’ll remember she has to do laundry.
When she puts the laundry into the washer,
she’ll trip over shoes and bump into the freezer.
Bumping into the freezer will remind her she has to plan supper.
She will get out a pound of hamburger.
She’ll look for her cookbook
(How to Make 101 Things With a Pound of Hamburger.)
The cookbook is sitting under a pile of mail.
She will see the phone bill, which is due tomorrow.
She will look for her checkbook.
The checkbook is in her purse,
which is being dumped out by her two year-old.
Then she’ll smell something funny.
She’ll change the two year-old.
While she is changing the two year-old, the phone will ring.
Her five year-old will answer and hang up.
She’ll remember she was supposed to phone a friend
to come over for coffee.
Thinking of coffee will remind her that she was going to have a cup.
She will pour herself some more.
And chances are,
if she has a cup a coffee,
her kids will have eaten the muffin that went with it.
(This is a spin off of the wonderful children books, If you Give a Moose a Muffin, etc)
