DISNEYLAND

We decided to venture to Disneyland while in So Cal and thankfully Uncle Dan was there to help keep track of the kids! That place is crazy busy- estimated 70,000 people visit the park daily! Addie didn't know what was coming when she entered Fantasyland, but she was happily surprised when she saw all that Disneyland has to offer. We spent most of the day in Fantasyland on the rides and meeting the princesses. Addie got to personally meet Jasmine, Mulan, Ariel, and Rapunzel. She wasn't shy at all and was excited to talk with them.

Addie also met Pluto, Minnie Mouse, Winnie the Pooh, and Eeyore. We bought Addie a little book for the characters to sign and put a photo, but she hid the book from Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore! For some reason they weren't allowed to sign her special book! Addie and Caden both enjoyed riding on Dumbo the flying elephant, the canoe trip, and Finding Nemo's submarine.

Disneyland wore our little princess out.....she feel asleep in the car and didn't wake up until the next morning!

So Cal getaway

We just returned from a fabuluous vacation in San Clemente, California and a little side trip to Disneyland! We rented a condo that was two blocks from the beach and 5 blocks from downtown. San Clemente was the perfect, chill surf town that allowed us to relax on the beach with the kids and cruise the beach trail to hit up parks and tide pools. Addie taught Caden to chase the waves and birds as well as build a sand castle! They could have spent the whole day at the beach. Everything about San Clemente is awesome- the weather, the people, the location, and the environment.

Addie and Cisco

Addie's dreams have come true- she started horseback riding lessons and she went to Disneyland (more on that later)! Addie is one step closer to being a true cowgirl now that she is getting some proper private lessons. Once a week we go to Flyspur Ranch just outside of Bend dressed up like a cowgirl to ride a big horse and learn all about them. Addie was paired up with Cisco, a very tame and sweet older Palomino. Before riding, Addie helps brush and groom the horse. She saddles him up and heads for the indoor riding arena where she has learned to direct him with the reins, steer him around the barrel and cones, and over poles. Addie's favorite part was being able to trot! She looks like a natural!
