Nevada, Idaho, Montana......

OREGON! The next place that we are going to call home will be Oregon. Ryan received job offers from Merrill Lynch in both Boise and Bend. It took us about a week to discuss all the pros and cons for each spot to finally decide on Bend. It was a much easier decision for Ryan, mostly because his parents live 20 minutes away in Sisters. I was cheering for Boise, mostly because of our friends in Idaho and the easy access to my parents and friends in Reno. But after looking at the big picture, I realized that Bend is more of a desirable place to raise a family and call home (at least in our minds). Bend is a much smaller community, there is a lot of recent growth (which means hopefully construction will cease for a few years), a multitude of outdoor recreational opportunities at our dispense, and family a mere 20 minutes away. I realized that our friends will always be our friends and hopefully we will meet some amazing people in Oregon. We are excited to spend some weekends on the Oregon coast, visit Aunt Shauna in Southern Oregon, go camping at Crater Lake, hike Black Butte and the Sisters, play at Camp Sherman, and have a romantic getaway in Portland (just the two of us)!!!
